Mary Rose Gunn is the Founder and CEO of The Fore and its parent charity The Bulldog Trust. Launched in 2017, The Fore is the first venture-capital style grant fund of its kind in the UK. It has a mission to encourage innovation, equity and dynamism in the charity sector through supporting small charities and social enterprises. The Fore brings together businesses, funders, philanthropists and other sector specialists in order to open up access to resources for the next generation of social entrepreneurs and charity leaders.
As CEO of The Bulldog Trust since 2007, Mary Rose also oversees the Trust’s headquarters, Two Temple Place, an extraordinary historic mansion on the Embankment which has welcomed over 300,000 visitors since it opened for free public exhibitions and events in 2011. Prior to this she worked in politics and the media.
She sits on the Board of the architecture charity INTBAU and the international development advocacy organisation the Margaret Pyke Trust, is an alumni of Women of the Year, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and in 2018 was named as one of NatWest WISE100 leading Women in Social Enterprise.
